Vdata – Security Risk Assessment and Management for Personally Identifiable Data

As vehicles get smarter, cybersecurity is becoming an increasing concern in the automotive industry (see the ‘Safety Assurances and Cyber Security’ section). As a consequence, measures need to be put into place in order to protect personally identifiable data.

Main Question

Are (security) risk assessment (e.g. Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA)) and management procedures in place?

Sub-Questions

1. Are security risks identified and managed appropriately, including throughout the supply chain, contractors, etc.?
2. Are the authenticity and origin of all supplies ascertained?
3. Have the guidelines intended by ‘Safe_12‘ (Cybersecurity) been considered?
