Vdata – Data Collection for Analysis of Incidents and Accidents

To help with the analysis of incidents and accidents and the improvement of ADFs, pertinent data will be collected.

1. Data from the EDR (Event Data Recorder) (crash releated) UNECE R160 (LDV), UNECE R169 (HDV)
2. Data from DSSAD (Data Storage System for Automated Driving) (UNECE R157)

The data shall be available, subject to requirements of national and regional law.

Main Question

Is necessary data collected according to EDR and DSSAD requirements?

Sub-Questions

1. Does the data contain the status of the ADF and whether the driver or ADF was in control at the time leading up to, during and following an incident/accident?
2. In case of an incident/accident are all required vehicle’s dynamic time-series data during the time period just prior, during and after an incident event recorded and logged properly for retrieval after the incident?
3. Is relevant information shared subject to requirements of national and regional law?
