Simulation – Integration of Complementary Tools in the Simulation Environment

A simulation tool needs to be integrated with other tools to guarantee a seamless user experience and traceability. Few important examples of the tools interconnected with simulators are: scenario databases; data warehouse to collect syntethic data generated by the simulations; product lifecycle solutions to manage requirements, architectures, tests; ticket systems to trace issues; visualization tools; DevOps tools to automotize test execution. A simulation tool development or purchasing has to be evaluated with the broad tool environment needed.

Main Question

Are complementary tools to the simulation environment selected and integrated?

Sub-Questions:

  1. Is a scenario database integrated with the simulator solution?
  2. Is a data warehouse setup and connected with the simulation solution for collecting and cataloguing data?
  3. Is a tool for managing a lifecycle product development available and connected with a simulator solution?
  4. Is a ticket system availabe for managinging issues generated during simulation tests?
  5. Is a visualization tool available to show the simulation data results?
  6. Are DevOps tools setup and connected with the simulation enviroment to allow automatic tests?
