In order to use the scenario database in the best way, some experience is required. Ideally the scenario database is integrated in the development process as a tool/methodology. In Mazzega, J. et al. (2019) or Taniguchi, S et al. (2021) the complete process is given as an example for safety assurance.
The usage of the scenario database requires experience in the selection of the correct scenarios for the defined use case and a clear interface towards these selected scenarios. Furthermore, the application of the scenarios (e.g. in simulation) needs to be clear and ideally already tested and applied.
A selection of the right amount of scenarios is also necessary in order to fulfill all testing and evaluation needs, but also not over-test and therefore create high costs.
Main Question
Is a process for usage of scenario databases defined?
Sub-Questions
- Was a scenario databases already used in the past and is experience avaialble?
- Is there a clear procedure / user’s guide to use the database?
- Have been people trained to use the tool?
